The morning started by rearranging the furniture in the Warehouse to create a test driving loop.
Then, readjustments....
After morning building and testing we headed out to the Marsh for a little adventure.
With our first steps on the path, we encountered a baby snapper in the middle of the trail!
Many builders considered it to be, "...about the cutest thing ever."
There were lots of crayfish, snails and the claw of what was temporarily believed to be a lobster.
After our walk we headed back to the warehouse for lunch and a swim.
We decided to keep the baby snapper in a bucket for a bit to watch her. We also observed a few terrestrial frogs before releasing them.
Lots of amazing jumps off the rope swing today!
We headed back to camp for a final push of building to get all the carts operational.
Water bottle holder and complementary amenities: "fidget spinners"
13 wheels in motion!
A cart named "Lil' Gem" ready for tomorrow's challenge.
Deciding which chain guard would make a better (big) cup holder.
Working through some final design decisions to reposition the wheels....
The Mourning Dove we had been watching all week finally gave us a view of her chicks! A family with the names: Blueberry, Rhubarb, Pancake and Pickle. The kids always correct me when I refer to them by the wrong names, and I'm obviously still not sure which is which.
Following our afternoon build we went on one last bike ride to the river to look for crayfish and whatever else we could find. There was some serious creature fever spreading...and whispers that this river had sea lamprey!
A lucky angler ..........and a goofy frog. Don't stare into it's eyes too long.
Rain is predicted for tomorrow. Hopefully our chariots don't become mobile swimming pools!
