The morning started with a tour of the Warehouse and surrounding area...
On such a beautiful day, there was a great view of Lake Superior and the Yooper Dome!
We found our way back to camp and played a few rounds of the bowling ball name game.
Then, time for a chat about safety agreements.
We started the tool training by taking apart a few electronic items that were no longer in working order. Here you can see the yards and yards of plastic film from inside a typewriter.
Then we worked to assemble a few saw horses...
(snack break)
...and a cedar ladder.
After lunch it was time for a swim break.
and the project reveal: Build a human powered vehicle to transport your team along the bike path near Tourist Park.
We sketched ideas...
...and then sketched with chalk on the concrete to create scale models of the vehicles.
Parts were procured from an assortment of old bikes, wheelchairs, golf caddys and walkers.
What do we do next?
Exciting finds from the Take Apart table!
Excited to see how the vehicles evolve tomorrow!
